This article seems to encourage the necessity of promoting “the pedagogy of multiliteracies” as the title suggests. Both teachers and students must be able to identify and “acclimatize” themselves to new literacies that are developing constantly. Although schools have long been a critical factor in educating, preparing and opening up opportunities for our students, “we cannot remake the world through schooling but we can instantiate a vision through pedagogy that creates in microcosm a transformed set of relationships and possibilities for social futures; a vision that is lived in schools.”

As such, we are introduced to “The ‘what’ of a pedagogy of Multiliteracies”. We are also presented with a metalanguage of Multiliteracies that anchors from the concept of “Design”, which encompasses the forms of meaning and the creativity needed to constantly reinvent and realign strategies during actual delivery. In other words, teachers are the sculptors of students’ learning. They ensure the suitability of the learning environment and the progression of their students’ development, switching between methods and styles to cater to the different natures of their students.
